Nighttime symptoms can range from Snoring (which is disturbing, very concerning to others and keeping others awake at night) to Sleep Apnoea, which can be diagnosed as Mild, Moderate or Severe.

The following is a broad list of common nighttime concerns:

  • Unrefreshing Sleep, waking up chronically tired, with morning headaches, often with a dry mouth, which is very debilitating to everyday life
  • Loud, habitual Snoring, often reported by a partner, who is also regularly Sleep disturbed, leading to separate sleeping arrangements. This can often  become a normalized arrangement, commonly associated with the beginning of personal relationship challenges
  • Chronic daytime tiredness, persistent low energy, poor concentration, which can be very debilitating in everyday life
  • Difficulty falling asleep or maintaining asleep (insomnia) which can be very frustrating for a tired, poor sleeper

  • Unexplained Sleep disruption and pattern changes may often be associated with Menopause in women
  • Shift work or irregular work schedules regularly affect quality sleep, due to the disruptive nature of variation in circadian rhythm and pattern disruption
